BEHIND THE LENS
My name is Michael Vernon.
I live in a South Leicestershire village.
Although I am a generalist, I do enjoy photographing the “odd and different” as well as people, particularly street photography with a long lens. Having aquired new lighting equipment I am keen to do more studio portraiture. I have been taking photographs for 47 years altogether, and made the difficult change to digital in 2010. I find that digital techniques have broadened the possibilities exponentially.
Retirement from the corporate world has given me the time to work towards the attainment of a BA honours degree in Photography with the Open College of the Arts and I am enjoying the journey.
For 2016 /17 /18 I am serving as President of the Lutterworth Photographic Society
